40×80 Ag Building Kit

This complete pole barn materials package is designed for a 40-foot by 80-foot structure with a 14-foot wall height. The framing utilizes 3-ply 2×6 GluLam posts spaced 8 feet on center, each set with a 5×16 precast concrete footer block and an 80 lb. bag of Sakrete for secure anchoring.

The header system features 2-ply 2×12 Southern Yellow Pine (SYP), with upgraded 2-ply 11-7/8″ LVL headers over 12-foot openings for added strength. Pre-fabricated roof trusses with a 4/12 pitch and 35-5-5 loading are spaced 48 inches on center to ensure structural integrity and compliance with regional load requirements.

Both eaves and gables have 12-inch overhangs, finished with vented aluminum soffit and painted steel fascia for proper airflow and a clean exterior look. The wall framing includes 2×8 treated skirtboards and 2×4 purlins and girts spaced 24 inches on center.

Roof and wall cladding is provided by Everlast 28-gauge LYNX Series painted steel panels. One eave features a 4-foot section of clear skylight panels to allow natural light into the interior space. The roof is lined with a Therma Guard R-9 vapor barrier for improved moisture and temperature control. Vented closures beneath the ridge cap and foam closure strips at the eaves help maintain proper airflow and seal out elements.

Steel trim components — including ridge cap, rake and corner trim, base angle, gutter apron, overhead door trim, and double angle at the gables — are painted and color-matched for a unified finish.

The package includes four 12′ x 12′ ProDoor 4110 overhead doors. Each door features a white, raised panel design, torsion springs, standard track, steel angle bracing, weather stripping, and slide locks. These doors are non-insulated and do not include windows — ideal for utility or agricultural use.

A 3.0 x 6.8 fiberglass entry door with 9-lite glass and a keyed black doorknob provides personnel access. All necessary fasteners are included, such as 4″ GRK structural screws for headers and color-matched screws for roofing and siding installation.
