12’x16’x8′ Pole Barn Kit with 4’x14′ Lean-To – Complete Material Package

Build with confidence using our comprehensive 12x16x8 pole barn kit, which includes a 4’x14′ attached lean-to on the eave side. Designed for durability and weather resistance, this package comes with high-quality materials ready for on-site assembly.

The main structure features pressure-treated 4×6 posts set on 5×12 precast concrete footer blocks and secured with 80 lb bags of Sakrete per post. Strong 2-ply 2×8 SPF headers support pre-fabricated trusses with a 5/12 roof pitch, spaced 48″ on center and rated for 30-5-5 snow and wind loading.

Vented 12″ overhangs are included along the eaves and gables, finished with durable metal soffit for improved airflow. The wall system uses 2×8 treated skirt boards, along with 2×4 girts and purlins spaced 24″ on center. For the exterior, Everlast’s 28-gauge LYNX Series metal panels provide reliable roofing and siding protection, complete with an R-9 Therma Guard vapor barrier on the roof.

Additional features include vented closures under the ridge cap, foam strips at the eaves, and fully painted steel trim components—ridge cap, rake, corner trim, base angle, gutter apron, overhead door trim, and gable double angles.

The package comes with a ProDoor 4210 overhead door (8’x7’), featuring raised panel wood grain styling, white finish, R-6.8 insulation, torsion springs, slide lock, weather stripping, and standard track—no windows. Also included is a 3.0 x 6.8 fiberglass 9-lite entry door for secure and stylish access. Headers are fastened using 4” GRK structural screws for added strength.

Lean-To Specifications (4’x14’ on Eave Side)

The lean-to includes treated 4×6 posts spaced 7′ apart, each anchored with 5×12 concrete footer blocks and Sakrete. It is framed with 2×8 headers and a ledger board, using 2×6 rafters on a 2/12 pitch spaced 4′ on center. Uplift protection is ensured with 2×4 treated blocks for long-term structural stability.
