30×40 Garage Kit

This comprehensive materials package includes everything needed to construct a 30-foot by 40-foot pole barn with a wall height of 14 feet. The structure is supported by 3-ply 2×6 glue-laminated posts, spaced 8 feet on center. Each post is anchored with a 5×16 precast concrete footer block and one 80-pound bag of Sakrete, ensuring a strong and durable foundation.

Headers are constructed using 2-ply 2×10 MSR-rated lumber, offering dependable structural support. The roofing system features pre-fabricated trusses with a 4/12 pitch, spaced 48 inches on center and designed to meet 35-5-5 load standards for added strength and code compliance.

To enhance both function and appearance, the building includes 12-inch overhangs on the eaves and gables, finished with vented aluminum soffit and painted steel fascia. The framing also includes 2×8 treated skirtboards and 2×4 purlins and girts, installed 24 inches on center for consistent stability throughout the structure.

The exterior is finished with Everlast 28-gauge LYNX Series metal roofing and siding, backed by a Therma Guard R-9 vapor barrier installed under the roof for moisture control and insulation efficiency. Ventilation and sealing are supported by vented closures under the ridge cap and foam closure strips at the eaves.

All trim components are painted steel and color-matched for a clean, finished appearance, including ridge cap, rake and corner trim, base angle, gutter apron, overhead door trim, and double angle trim at the gables.

This package includes two 10′ x 10′ ProDoor 6410 overhead garage doors in white, each featuring R-10 insulation, a steel back, Hi-Lift track suitable for 14-foot ceilings, and a slide lock for secure closure.

Entry access is provided by two 3.0 x 6.8 fiberglass entry doors with 9-lite windows, combining durability with natural light and ventilation.

All necessary hardware is included, featuring 4” GRK structural screws for headers and color-matched screws for both roofing and siding to ensure a professional-grade installation.
