24×36 Garage Kit

This materials-only kit includes everything you need to construct a 24-foot by 36-foot pole barn with a 10-foot wall height. The structure is framed with treated 4×6 posts placed 8 feet on center. Each post is anchored with a 5×12 precast concrete footer block and one 80-pound bag of Sakrete for a stable and secure foundation.

The load-bearing system features 2-ply 2×10 Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) headers throughout, with 3-ply headers provided for eave openings exceeding 10 feet. The roof is supported by pre-fabricated trusses spaced 48 inches apart, with a 4/12 pitch and engineered for 35-5-5 loading capacity.

To enhance the building’s durability and ventilation, the design includes 12-inch overhangs on both eaves and gables, finished with vented aluminum soffit and painted steel fascia. Wall framing includes 2×8 treated skirtboards and 2×4 purlins and girts spaced 24 inches on center.

The building is finished with Everlast 28-gauge LYNX Series metal roofing and siding, and features a 3-foot 4-inch metal wainscot around all sides for added visual appeal and durability. A Therma Guard R-9 vapor barrier is installed beneath the roof to manage moisture and improve energy efficiency.

Ventilation and sealing components include vented closures beneath the ridge cap and foam closure strips at the eaves. All trim is color-matched painted steel, including ridge cap, rake and corner trim, base angle, gutter apron, overhead door trim, and double angle trim at each gable.

For vehicle access, the kit includes two 10’ x 8’ white ProDoor 4210 garage doors, each featuring R-6.8 insulation, vinyl backing, standard track, and a slide lock for added security.

The entry door is a 3.0 x 6.8 fiberglass model with a 9-lite window design and a black, keyed entry door knob. For natural light and ventilation, the kit includes four 36” x 48” white vinyl single-hung windows with integrated grids.

All fasteners are included, featuring 4” GRK structural screws for the headers and color-matched screws for the roofing and siding, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
