30′ x 30′ x 12′ Pole Barn with 10′ x 30′ Open Lean-To

This materials package includes everything needed to construct a 30-foot by 30-foot pole barn with a 12-foot wall height, plus a 10-foot by 30-foot open lean-to. The main structure is framed with 3-ply 2×6 glue-laminated posts, each set with a 5×16 precast concrete footer block and one 80-pound bag of Sakrete to ensure a solid foundation.

Headers are constructed with 2-ply 2×10 MSR-rated lumber, with 3-ply headers used over 12-foot eave openings for added strength. The roof features pre-fabricated scissor trusses spaced 48 inches on center, with an 8/12 pitch and a 5.5/12 bottom chord, engineered to a 30-5-5 loading standard. Overhangs include 24 inches on the right eave, and 12 inches on the left eave and both gables.

Framing includes 2×8 treated skirtboards and 2×4 purlins and girts, spaced 24 inches on center. The roof is finished with Everlast 28-gauge LYNX Series metal panels and a Therma Guard vapor barrier for moisture and temperature control. Vented closures beneath the ridge cap and foam closure strips at the eaves enhance weather sealing and airflow.

Trim components include a painted steel ridge cap, rake trim, and gutter apron for a complete, weather-tight finish. The exterior siding features 1×12 Eastern White Pine board and batten, offering a rustic yet clean appearance.

Two 12′ x 10′ ProDoor 6410 overhead doors are included, each R-10 insulated with a 26-gauge steel back, raised panel wood grain texture, and finished in white. These doors also feature one row of windows, torsion springs, standard track, weather stripping, steel angles, and slide locks.

Entry access is provided by one 3.0 x 6.8 fiberglass door with a 9-lite window. For additional light and ventilation, the building includes four 36” x 48” white vinyl single-hung windows with decorative grids.

All fasteners are included: 4” GRK structural screws for headers and color-matched screws for roofing materials to ensure a uniform, professional finish.

10′ x 30′ Open Lean-To (Eave Side)

The open lean-to provides covered outdoor space along one eave of the main structure. It includes 6×6 treated posts spaced 10 feet on center, each set with 5×12 precast footer blocks and Sakrete for stability. The frame is built with 2×10 Yellow Pine headers and a ledger system.

Rafters are 2×8 with a 3/12 pitch, spaced 4 feet on center. Structural reinforcement includes 2×6 treated Y-braces and 2×4 treated uplift blocks to resist wind uplift and increase overall rigidity.
